Seven Point Start-to-Finish Product Plan
The Remembering When Seven Point Start-to-Finish Product Plan ensures that you and/or the subject of the work have sufficient input into the content of the final product. This way you can rest easy in the knowledge that the final product will be everything that you want it to be. Stage 1. Obligation-Free Preliminary ConsultationThe initial consultation with those commissioning the project is a vital part of the product delivery process. This is because it is here that the intended audience is discussed at length. A sense of audience can have a significant impact on the final product. It provides the framework for the direction of the work carried out. At Remembering When we invite you to share with us how you envisage the final product will look. You decide the subject matter it will contain. You decide what the absolute “must haves” of the document are. When we have this information, the team at Remembering When can give you an idea of the approximate costs involved in carrying out your project. We can also give you an idea of the likely time frame. Should you wish to proceed, Remembering When requires a 50% deposit with the balance being paid on receipt of your product. Stage 2. Collection of InformationThe purpose of this step is to begin the process of collecting important material and information. If a project has been commissioned by a third party - such as in the case of a life history on DVD or a Special Occasion Mini-Documentary - this step is often the first contact between interviewer and interviewee. At Remembering When we recognize how important it is for the interviewee to feel comfortable with the interviewer. At this meeting other important facets of the documentary process are also covered, such as the likely direction of the interview, the best locations for filming, as well as the possible use of other props such as photographs that might also enrich the interview. For other items - such as the Photo Slide-Shows and Scrapbooking - this stage is when important content, such as photographs, that form the basis for the products, is collected so that it can be formatted.
